Customer testimonial regarding the installation
We previously had a belt scale on our mobile crushing plant, but I was never really satisfied with it. The installation was time-consuming and costly. First, the plant had to be transported to the workshop. An entire roller segment had to be removed from the discharge conveyor in order to install the belt scale there.
The operation wasn’t exactly straightforward, and we often had to consult the user manual.
In use, the belt scale initially provided acceptable accuracy of about 5%, but when we moved the crushing plant to a different location, the readings went haywire. A recalibration brought some improvement, but recalibrating after every operation of the plant is not practical.
This was the reason we decided on an optical laser scale from Lasertronik.
Regarding installation: We were told that installation is very simple and that we could do it ourselves. This saves on installation and travel costs. Although we couldn’t believe it at first.
To our surprise, we were able to carry out the installation ourselves. It was very easy to do.
The setup on the system took less than 25 minutes. The device was automatically calibrated within a minute, and measurements could begin. The conveyed bulk material was tested and compared to the values from the measuring system. The deviation across multiple measurements was between 0.3 and 0.6%. The next day it rained. We followed the same steps as the day before. The accuracy of the measurement results remained the same. And that was a good thing."
The problem was that whenever the system was moved, the belt scale had to be readjusted. Additionally, the data wasn’t always accurate.
